Please...

I continue to think about this subject. Unforgiveness is one of the major hindrances that can hinder your healing. Listen to what Jesus says in Mark 11:25-26. "And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him and [let it drop](leave it, let it go), in order that your Father who is in heaven may also forgive you your [own] failings and shortcomings and let them drop. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your failings and shortcomings." Happy New Year 2011, I still think this an important message! A quote by Author: Tami Hoag 2007... What purpose does it serve to hold that anger? What good does it do? Hatred is like taking poison and expecting the other person to die of it."

An Opinion... Isn't it amazing that almost everyone has an opinion to offer about the bible (as well as other subjects), and yet so few have studied it (or the subject)? R. C. Sproul, skywriting.net If only one would read before speaking, they would not look so foolish. Yet, I don't want to get in anyone's face... so I keep dropping hints. Does it help? I hope so...)

Holidays...

What is Thanksgiving?
The historical origin of modern Thanksgiving in the United States is generally regarded to be a traditional English harvest celebration; and was a religious observance to give thanks to God.  This occurred at the site of Plymouth Plantation, in Massachusetts in 1621.

The Native Americans had educated the Pilgrams how to plant crops and hunt wild game. At the end of the season, they joined together to have a feast of food, and give thanks for their many blessings.

There are numerous sites online that tell the story well.  I am going to list some for you to look thru...

I was sent this in an email, and I thought it was wonderful !  "Our Father Who Art In Heaven"

12/01/10 Do you remember when it was part of the holiday season to wish each other "Merry Christmas" without a politically incorrect fallout? And do you remember the Christmas songs from your youth, the ones we knew all of the words to? It has been a while hasn't it, and that is sad. I want to remember the words of songs such as O Little Town of Bethleham: O little town of Bethlehem, how still we see thee lie! Above thy deep and dreamless sleep the silent stars go by; yet in thy dark streets shineth the everlasting light; the hopes and fears of all the years are met in thee tonight. ~~~ For Christ is born of Mary, and gathered all above, while mortals sleep, the angels keep their watch of wondering love. O morning stars, together proclaim the holy birth! And praises sing to God the King, and peace to men on earth. ~~~ How silently, how silently, the wondrous gift is given! So God imparts to human hearts the lessings of his heaven. No ear may hear his coming, but in the world of sin, where meek souls will receive him, still the dear Christ enters in. ~~~ The hopes and fears of all the years are met in thee tonight.

Humor ~ A cold Christmas morning...  2010
It was a cold and misty Christmas morning in the very depth of winter after a heavy fall of snow and only Farmer Evans and the Reverand Joseph Lancaster managed to arrive at the church for the morning service.
"Well," said the Vicar laconically, "I guess there is no point in having a service today."
"That's not how I see it." said Farmer Evans smartly. "If only one cow turns up at feeding time, I still feed it."

It is Valentine's Day soon...
A couple were having marital problems. They decided together to do the right thing and they contacted a marriage guidance counselor. Several visits followed where lots of questions were asked, and lots of listening carried out. Eventually the counselor felt that he had discovered the main problem. He stood up, went over to the woman and asking her to stand up he gave her a huge cuddle.
He turned to the man and said, "this is what your wife needs, at least once every day."
The husband frowned, considered what had been said for a moment, then replied,
"OK, what time do you want me to bring her back tomorrow?"
